I like flat things, generous and optimistic hearts, and slow flowing water. Whether it is a person, an animal, or an object, I want to believe that they are beings who have good intentions and a hope of coexistence. It’s impossible, but ultimately, I want to live in a place where there are no low-level fights. I will not forget to keep an eye on the bad guys. I always corrected poems facing west, but this time I write with a calm mind, lying on a bench, looking at the darkening eastern sky. Errors will surely come in future. A blank sheet to be faced with embarrassment. From Poet’s Essay 추천의 말 A prayer for someone unknown in a crack of hell! It would not be wrong to say that that is a metaphorical explanation of how Moon Dong-man’s poetry is born. In the gaps of the hell called reality, Mun Dong-man feels the warmth of people as he sees scenes from a world that has passed but will never disappear completely. As someone who continues life together as an individual, and as a poet who continues to write poetry together as an individual, Moon Dong-man summarizes his tasks as follows: “(It) is not a question of what might be passed on, not a question of how to make a leap forward while living and writing, but rather a matter of going on writing without collapsing.” (Continuing Days). That is the core of life and poetry. Kim Su-yee(Literary Critic)
