출판사 리뷰

저자는 영어 교육 분야에서 학생들에게 영어 글쓰기나 말하기를 지도하다 문법적인 오류만큼이나 어휘 선택에 있어서 단어를 혼동하는 것을 자주 목격하게 되었다. 그리고 이런 단어들을 틈틈이 메모해 두었다가 학생들뿐만 아니라 영어 어휘 공부에 관심 있는 일반 독자들과도 공유하면 흥미로울 것이라 생각해서 2015년도에 《한국식 영어 바로잡기: Confusing Words》를 집필했다. 그 이후 8년 만에 어휘의 비교, 대조에 초점을 맞추어 《Confusing words 2: 영어 어휘의 미묘한 속뜻 차이》가 세상 밖으로 나오게 되었다. 영어를 뛰어넘어야 할 허들이나 어려운 대상이 아니라, 알면 알수록 흥미로운 언어로 접근하기를 바라는 저자의 마음이 많은 독자에게 전달되었으면 하는 바람이다.
